Addison was driving a white Rolls-Royce and was arrested around 11:36 p.m after a DUI investigation.
He was released about two hours after his arrest.
While the results of the investigation are unclear, the Vikings shared that they are aware of the arrest.
“We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident,” the team wrote in a statement.
Addison’s car was reportedly blocking “a lane of I-105,” according to ESPN.
He was then found to be asleep behind the steering wheel, according to the arrest report obtained by the Daily News.
This arrest isn’t the first time that Addison has gotten into trouble on the highway.
He was involved in an incident last offseason after being caught speeding down a highway in Minnesota.
He was charged with speeding and reckless driving after getting caught 140 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Addison claimed he was rushing because his dog was having an emergency.
“Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment,” Addison said in a statement
“I recognize and own that. I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior.
“I am truly sorry.”
The reckless driving charge was dismissed, but Addison did plead guilty to speeding and paid $686 in fines.
Addison had a great rookie season with the Vikings in 2023 after being drafted in the first round.
He played his college ball at the University of Pittsburgh and USC.
Addison caught 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns and was the team’s top option when Justin Jefferson was hurt.
He will likely be catching passes from rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy this season after Kirk Cousins left for the Atlanta Falcons.
